I’m at my wits end with my ADHD, I’m in my senior year of college and I need to get great grades. I’ve taken adderall in the past and its really helped but I was having pretty severe heart palpatations and was taken off of it. I am not being treated at all at this time, is there any non medicated treatment regimen that has worked for anyone else out there with adult ADHD. Exercise, fish oil, coffee, anything?

I put my son on ADHD medications after years of refusing to. He has been taking htem for roughly 3 months and she has not done any blood work on him. From what I understand it shoudl have been before he started and again in a few months. Any insight would be great, he has been going to her for 8 years but I am debating changing dr’s.
He was presrcibed Vyvanse which is a new ADHD medication.

I notice there are many well-educated, well-respected people who will express contempt at the notion of “Attention Deficit, Hyperactivity Disorder”.

Why is it exactly that this scientific theory is not very well accepted?

And why is it also widely believed, that in the cases where it does actually exist, it is not as severe as it is made out to be?

I am wondering what are the key factors in the theory of ADHD which turn educated people, including those qualified to diagnose neurological disorders, away from believing in it?
