Talk to his doctor, that’s a CLEAR indicator he’s on the wrong meds(basically the meds are driving him crazy).

      So they’re no good.

Next to the medication, make sure he gets plenty of protein(hyper kids burn off so much more protein, that they start feeling stressed by the shortage), a not too much sugar(so a hamburger, or steak-sandwich, over chips, or candy as a snack). It’ll help him feeling more anchored, and in-control.

Also don’t try and contain his energy, try and guide it, trying to contain it will just frustrate everybody, where if you can give him ‘projects’, and ‘targets’ to do, he’ll learn to work WITH the tools he has, not fight himself every step of the way(because having double-energy isn’t as bad, as is sometimes advertised these days).

First change his meds though, they’re no good, he needs to get better from ‘em, if he doesn’t, he’s better off without(because the wrong meds often create the problem they’re supposed to fix).
